Commission for Care of the Differently Abled
Pope Francis reminds us that God has a special place in His heart for disabled individuals, and the Church must be attentive to their needs. Parishes and Catholic institutions are called to address the spiritual, educational, and medical needs of differently-abled individuals. The commission focuses on raising awareness of these needs, making public spaces and places of worship accessible, promoting the inclusion of differently-abled individuals in parish and community life, and offering training on government schemes and entitlements related to their rights. VISION: Differently abled people enjoy a better quality of life and their God-given dignity. MISSION: The goal is to form an inclusive society that addresses the physical, spiritual, and mental needs of differently-abled individuals through comprehensive intervention.
